The Consortium is a state wide community of providers dedicated to supporting a high quality and comprehensive Early Intervention service delivery system across Massachusetts. The Consortium (MEIC) has partnered with the Infant and Toddler Advocacy (ITA) to advocate, strengthen and advise the Early Intervention Community for over 30 years.
The Consortium Charter lists the following objectives:
1) To provide for and improve the quality of services and care to young children and their families, including but not limited to toddlers, infants, those with special needs, and others considered at risk for developmental delay or disability.
2) To provide information, advocacy, outreach and support to consumers and providers for the development and appropriate delivery of care and services to the above mentioned group.
3) To facilitate coordination among funding agents, providers an consumers of care and services to young children and their families.
The Consortium is organized into six regional groups across Massachusetts
Each group is chaired by a Regional Chairperson, elected by the regional membership. Each Regional Chairperson is seated, with a vote, on the governing Board of Directors. With the support of its membership, the Consortium will continue to be the "watch dog" of quality EI services and advocate for fair and appropriate rates while speaking with a credible voice for the needs of young children and families in Massachusetts. |
